Audio Application Engineer

Location : Seoul

Job Description :

• Responsible for applications support of portable audio and home audio amplifiers, headphone amps, audio converters, power stages, CODECS, and/or audio processors.
• Using lab equipment to make measurements related to audio performance, power consumption, and other performance parameters, organizing and presenting the data collected so as to be understandable by customers and TI internal personnel.
• End markets include mobile phones, notebook PCs, portable navigation devices, televisions, home theater systems, and portable media players.
• Assisting customers attempting to use software drivers including answering questions regarding use of the drivers, and assisting customers in making modifications to customize drivers for their own specific usage models.
• Compilation and presentation of product information and training material for customers and internal TI staff, involving writing application notes and presenting slides.
• Inherent leadership position: the sales and factory teams look to you for key support and decisions on behalf of our customers.
• Some international and domestic travel required

Knowledge/ Skill/ Experience :

• Minimum 7 years of board and system level audio design or applications engineering experience (10 years desired).
  
• Excellent written and spoken communication in Korean and English; an excellent listener
  
• Solid knowledge of analog basics at the applications level – RLC circuits, single-transistor circuits, switching power, data conversion, digital signal processing
  
• Experienced in designing and debugging audio designs in portable, TV, or home theater applications
  
• Excellent debugging and problem solving skills, including use of tools (e.g. Audio Precision, etc.)
  
• Capable of synthesizing solutions to problems at the board-level and system-level: translating discrete part performance into end-system level performance
  
• Savvy negotiator

Education :

• BSEE in Electrical Engineering / MS degree preferred
